SchedulePop is a versatile online scheduling platform that helps businesses of all sizes create, manage, and communicate schedules with ease. It simplifies labor management and helps businesses improve operations, reduce costs, and improve employee satisfaction.
While initially focused on the hospitality sector, demand grew, and new markets emerged. SchedulePop strategically expanded into healthcare, targeting senior care facilities, like skilled nursing and assisted living, where compliance-driven scheduling and real-time HPPD monitoring are critical. These new markets introduced new layers of product complexity, requiring features tailored to regulatory standards and patient care benchmarks.
When Linnify joined the project, SchedulePop was established in healthcare, but the company’s rapid growth required moving beyond the legacy Angular 1 platform so the company could continue to innovate and meet customer needs. We partnered to rebuild the application from the ground up, providing flexibility and scalability to the codebase and creating an architecture to support future growth.
Healthcare scheduling demands precision, compliance, and reliability. SchedulePop wanted to ensure its platform could scale easily and could support rapid feature deployment to meet its growing customer base and industry-specific needs.
Goals included:

SchedulePop’s primary market is the United States, but it supports global customers. Initially focused on hospitaility and retail sectors, SchedulePop expanded into the U.S. healthcare industry, especially nursing facilities across states with strict HPPD and star rating compliance requirements.
The healthcare staffing landscape is complex.
These complexities meant burnout for schedulers, staffing inefficiencies for administrators, and potential non-compliance for facilities.
The end result? Lost revenue and reduced quality of care.

With SchedulePop focusing more on the healthcare industry, the platform needed new, more industry-specific features for its clients, including compliance-related ones.
Key goals included:
SchedulePop’s platform needed to become more scalable and capable of rapid feature deployment.
Meeting these goals would allow SchedulePop to continue its growth trajectory in the senior care industry.

Linnify collaborated with the SchedulePop team to rebuild the legacy Angular platform into a modern, modular system designed for long-term sustainability.
Together, the teams re-engineered and ported all components from the old system to the new application.
This modernization made the platform faster, more reliable, and easier to maintain. The collaboration continues with the redevelopment of the staff-facing mobile application, which is being redesigned as a responsive, mobile-first experience to better support healthcare professionals in managing their schedules.
With the new architecture in place, SchedulePop can continue focusing on developing and improving the features customers need - budgeting and forecasting tools, analytics dashboards, and predictive insights for staffing optimization. These advancements enhance the platform’s stability and usability and create opportunities for more data-driven decision-making across healthcare organizations.

Linnify joined SchedulePop when the company decided to rebuild its legacy Angular 1 application. Our role focused on helping the team transition to a modern, modular platform that could support their growing client base in healthcare.
Linnify worked closely with SchedulePop’s internal team to ensure all core functionalities were successfully ported and optimized for stability, scalability, and easier feature development.
The team worked across multiple fronts, from web application enhancements to integration architecture and compliance-aware features. We applied our expertise in frontend architecture, modular design, and performance optimization to rebuild the product’s foundation.
Our team also contributed to building critical scheduling features, including the highly specialized Hours Per Patient Day (HPPD) system and its supporting data visualizations.
This tool enabled nursing facilities to forecast staffing needs based on patient census and federal star ratings, an essential requirement for healthcare clients. The team also ensured the platform remained flexible enough to support both healthcare and legacy clients across multiple industries.
We focused on improving maintainability, ensuring the new app could handle larger data sets and support future feature growth.
