
Wens Travel is a Romanian full-service travel agency specializing in customized vacations and business trips, acting as concierge, adviser, and guide. Its mission is to give sense, value, and joy to every trip by combining details into authentic and unified experiences. To achieve this, Wens Travel decided to invest in digital innovation.
The first initiative was an e-learning platform aimed at people from special social groups who otherwise lacked easy access to knowledge about the tourism industry. The platform was designed to encourage them to develop skills and pursue careers in the sector.
Encouraged by the results of this first project, Wens Travel engaged Linnify once more to develop an onboarding tourism platform. This platform simplified the process for customers to express their needs and receive personalized offers while also easing the workload for Wens’ employees.
The Romanian tourism industry, like many others, faces challenges related to both social inclusion and customer expectations.
Many disadvantaged groups have limited access to structured training, which makes it difficult for them to find opportunities in the sector.
At the same time, travelers increasingly expect customized packages that reflect their personal needs, but these are often time-consuming for employees to prepare manually. Wens Travel needed digital solutions that could address both sides of this equation: empowering people with access to education and making the onboarding process more efficient and customer-friendly.

The projects were designed for the Romanian market and served two distinct audiences.
The e-learning platform was created for disadvantaged groups who lacked access to tourism education and training, giving them new opportunities to enter the industry.
The onboarding platform targeted Wens Travel’s existing and potential customers, both leisure and business travelers, who expect personalized tourism packages that reflect their unique needs and preferences.
Cultural and market factors played a significant role in shaping both solutions. Romania’s tourism market is highly competitive, which meant that offering personalized travel experiences was a key differentiator for Wens Travel.
At the same time, the e-learning platform addressed broader societal values by promoting social inclusion and responsibility, aligning the company’s brand with a mission to empower marginalized groups and support equal access to opportunities.

Before these initiatives, Wens Travel faced two distinct but interconnected problems.
On the one hand, there was no easy way to provide people from marginalized groups with the knowledge needed to pursue a career in tourism.
On the other hand, the company’s own onboarding process for customers was highly manual, which created inefficiencies for employees and sometimes slowed down the delivery of personalized packages. These challenges limited Wens Travel’s ability to serve both its social mission and its customer base at scale.

Linnify worked with Wens Travel on two consecutive solutions.
The first was an e-learning platform, designed and delivered between May and June 2022. Linnify created the user flows, UX/UI screens, interactive prototypes, and the functional platform, which was launched within two months.
The second initiative was an onboarding tourism platform, which began with Linnify’s validation workshops in June 2022. Through these workshops, the teams defined the problem statement, gathered insights from discovery interviews, and shaped a clear, unique value proposition.
After that, the design phase was underway, producing both web and mobile perspectives of the UX/UI flows and prototypes. The implementation took place between September and November 2022 and resulted in a fully functioning onboarding platform. This platform allowed customers to better articulate their needs, receive tailored offers faster, and reduced the administrative workload for employees.

Linnify played an end-to-end role in both projects.
For the e-learning platform, the team managed everything from user flows and design to development and deployment.
For the onboarding platform, Linnify facilitated validation workshops, led UX/UI design, handled backend and frontend development, and ensured quality through testing and project management.
The team combined technical depth with a validation-first mindset. Validation workshops uncovered customer pains and clarified the value proposition. UX/UI design ensured usability for both customers and employees.
Backend and frontend development used modern technologies to build a scalable solution, while QA and project management guaranteed stability, security, and timely delivery.

For Wens Travel, the collaboration with Linnify helped them not only develop platforms, but also understand their customers and employees better. The e-learning platform continues to serve as a social initiative with the potential to expand, while the onboarding platform is expected to evolve into a comprehensive booking system.
